A brush fire in the Town of Queensbury damaged multiple structures, including a child’s playhouse, on the afternoon of April 28.

Keewaydin State Park is a waterfront destination located along the St. Lawrence River, offering visitors a blend of recreation, relaxation, and scenic views in every season. Situated just west of Alexandria Bay, the park is well known for its sheltered marina, elevated campsites, and panoramic river overlooks.

The New York State Department of Environmental Conservation (DEC), in coordination with Forest Rangers and numerous state, federal, and local partners, carried out a series of prescribed fires across New York State between April 20 and April 27 as part of the annual prescribed fire season.
