Nestled in the heart of New York, Pixley Falls State Park offers visitors a peaceful escape into nature, highlighted by its stunning 50-foot waterfall and scenic woodland surroundings. Whether you're looking for a relaxing picnic, a short hike, or a day of fishing, the park provides a picturesque destination for outdoor enthusiasts throughout the year.
A Year-Round Outdoor Destination
Pixley Falls State Park is open year-round, allowing visitors to experience its natural beauty in every season. From November through April, however, services are limited, and roads and parking areas may not be plowed during winter weather. Visitors planning a cold-weather trip should check conditions before arriving and prepare accordingly.
The Park's Signature Waterfall
The centerpiece of Pixley Falls State Park is its breathtaking 50-foot waterfall, located just a short walk from the picnic area. Surrounded by steep, wooded hills and a flowing mountain stream, the falls provide a beautiful setting for photography, relaxation, and enjoying the sounds of nature.
A well-maintained nature trail winds through the forest, giving visitors an opportunity to explore the park's diverse landscape while passing the waterfall and scenic woodland areas.

Fishing and Wildlife
Anglers will appreciate the park's access to numerous miles of trout streams, making it a popular destination for freshwater fishing. Hunting is also permitted during designated seasons in approved areas, following New York State regulations.
Picnic Pavilion Rentals
Pixley Falls State Park features a single picnic pavilion that can accommodate up to 48 guests, making it an excellent location for family gatherings, reunions, birthday parties, and community events.
The pavilion is available for rental from mid-May through Columbus Day between 9:00 a.m. and sunset. Rental fees range from $50 to $75. Reservations can be made through ReserveAmerica or by calling 1-800-456-2267.

Camping Information
While Pixley Falls State Park no longer offers camping facilities, visitors who wish to camp nearby can stay at Delta Lake State Park, which provides camping accommodations within a short driving distance.
Park Entrance Fees
Most New York State Parks charge a vehicle-use fee for entry, with rates varying by location and season. Visitors should contact the park directly or review the current fee schedule before visiting.
Frequent park visitors may benefit from purchasing the Empire Pass. Available for $80, the pass provides unlimited day-use vehicle entry to most facilities operated by New York State Parks and the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation, including parks, forests, beaches, and trails throughout the state.
Plan Your Visit
Whether you're admiring the cascading waterfall, enjoying a peaceful walk through the forest, casting a line into a trout stream, or gathering with friends and family at the picnic pavilion, Pixley Falls State Park offers a memorable outdoor experience in every season.
