The Rest eZ Inn Brings Close-Quarters Horror to Clyde for the 2026 Halloween Season
CLYDE, N.Y. — The vacancy sign is flickering, the desk bell is waiting, and guests are being warned not to check in lightly.

For the 2026 Halloween season, The Rest eZ Inn is opening its doors in Clyde, New York, offering a different kind of haunted attraction—one where the scares aren't hidden at the end of endless hallways. Instead, the horror comes in tight, dark, close-quarters spaces where every room is designed to keep guests guessing.
Located at 7 Columbia St. in Clyde, The Rest eZ Inn will operate from September 26 through October 31, 2026, with limited tickets available each night.
Presented by Terror Field Productions, the attraction describes itself as a "spookteek" roadside haunted attraction: small in footprint but big on intensity.
A Roadside Inn You May Not Want to Enter
The concept is simple enough.
Imagine stumbling across an old roadside inn that should have been condemned years ago. The sign still hums. The desk bell still rings. The rooms are waiting.
Then the doors lock behind you.
The Rest eZ Inn is built around an abandoned-inn atmosphere, with narrow hallways, dark rooms, fog, loud audio, gore effects, strobe-style lighting and direct interactions designed to deliver fast, personal scares.

Rather than relying on long stretches of empty space, the attraction focuses on close-quarters fear. Guests move through compact environments where something could be waiting around virtually every corner.
It's a formula that appears to be resonating with visitors.
The attraction currently carries an overall 4.8-star rating from 180 reviews, with guests praising everything from the detailed sets to the intensity of the actors.
One reviewer called it the best haunted attraction they had ever visited, while another described it as their favorite spooky destination in New York.
Small Groups, Bigger Fear
Part of the experience is the attraction's limited capacity.
Groups of up to six guests enter together, with separate parties moving through the haunt individually. According to the attraction, the smaller groups help preserve the intimate nature of the experience and keep the rooms from becoming overcrowded.
That approach can mean a longer wait at times, but it also allows each group to experience the attraction without being packed into a large crowd.
For visitors looking for a haunted attraction that feels more personal than a massive commercial haunt, that may be part of the appeal.

The 2026 Schedule
The Rest eZ Inn opens for the 2026 season on Saturday, September 26.
October dates include Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays, with the final night scheduled for Halloween, Saturday, October 31.
Operating hours are:
Fridays: 7 p.m. until the last ticket is sold at 9:30 p.m.
Saturdays: 7 p.m. until the last ticket is sold at 9:30 p.m.
Sundays: 7 p.m. until the last ticket is sold at 8:30 p.m.
An additional Sunday date, October 11, is now listed as an open night.
Because ticket quantities are limited, visitors are encouraged to purchase tickets online before arriving. Ticket prices are listed as starting at approximately $21.60–$23.35, depending on the ticket selection.
What to Expect Before You Enter
The Rest eZ Inn is designed for a broad audience, but that doesn't mean it's designed to be gentle.
The attraction warns guests to expect gore, darkness, tight passages, loud sounds, strobe-style lighting effects and direct scares. Parents are encouraged to use their discretion when bringing younger guests.
Visitors with concerns involving claustrophobia, seizure disorders, pregnancy, heart conditions or mobility limitations are advised to consider whether the attraction is appropriate for them.
Guests should wear closed-toe shoes and are prohibited from running, smoking, vaping, drinking alcohol, carrying weapons, or touching actors, props and sets.
The most important rule may be the simplest: listen to the staff.
More Than Just a Haunted House
In addition to the indoor attraction, The Rest eZ Inn offers several visitor conveniences, including free parking, restrooms, a gift shop and souvenirs, as well as covered outdoor waiting areas.
For those who want to make a full Halloween night out of their visit, the attraction's location in Clyde also places it within reach of communities throughout the Finger Lakes and Central New York.
But visitors shouldn't wait until the last minute to make plans.
With limited nightly capacity and groups restricted to six people, the attraction's small size is an intentional part of the experience.
Check In If You Dare
The Rest eZ Inn isn't promising a sprawling haunted complex with dozens of attractions.
It's promising something more intimate.
A flickering sign.
A ringing bell.
A hallway that feels too narrow.
A door that closes behind you.
And the uncomfortable realization that the room you're standing in may have been waiting for your arrival all along.
The 2026 season begins September 26 in Clyde, and with Halloween night serving as the final scheduled date, there are only so many opportunities to check in.
