Erie Hollows Brings a Cursed Town to Life at Exit 38 This October
LIVERPOOL, N.Y. — Just north of the New York State Thruway's Exit 38, a town that time forgot is preparing to emerge from the darkness.

This October, The Walk of the Dead presents Erie Hollows at Exit 38, inviting brave visitors to enter a cursed settlement trapped between dimensions and uncover the horrors hidden along more than half a mile of haunted trails.
Held at the former Syracuse Sports Association Kickball Park at 7192 Oswego Road in Liverpool, Erie Hollows transforms the outdoor property into the remains of a once-thriving town haunted by the events of the mysterious 1888 Festival of the Willows.
But visitors aren't simply walking through a haunted trail.
They're being asked to cure the curse—or pay the toll.
A Town Trapped Between Worlds
According to the Erie Hollows legend, a catastrophic event during the 1888 Festival of the Willows left the town trapped between dimensions.

Now, the spirits and horrors of that forgotten community are waiting for anyone brave enough to enter.
The trail stretches for more than half a mile, winding through woods and across dirt and stone paths. Along the way, guests will encounter a collection of terrifying characters and locations, including the twisted experiments of Dr. Thaddeus Crane, the demented clowns of an eternal carnival, and the gruesome domain of the Butcher.
The spirits of Erie Hollows' lost residents are also said to remain behind, joining the collection of horrors waiting along the trail.
And organizers hint that these aren't the only threats visitors will encounter.
“We are not done.”
The Toll Must Be Paid
The central theme of Erie Hollows revolves around breaking the curse that has kept the town trapped for generations.
Visitors who enter become part of that story, with their courage potentially serving as the key to freeing the souls of Erie Hollows.
But there is a catch.
Those who enter must pay the toll.

Whether you're looking for a traditional haunted-trail experience or something with a deeper storyline, Erie Hollows combines its outdoor setting with characters, locations and an overarching legend designed to make the journey feel like an adventure into another world.
More Than Half a Mile of Outdoor Terror
Erie Hollows is a 100% outdoor attraction, meaning guests should come prepared for whatever October weather brings.
The trail covers more than half a mile of winding terrain through woods, dirt and stone. Comfortable footwear is strongly recommended, and visitors should dress appropriately for the weather.
The attraction is not recommended for children under 13. Guests age 15 and younger must be accompanied by an adult, while groups are limited to a maximum of six people.
That six-person limit makes it possible for friends and family members to experience the trail together without turning the journey into a massive crowd.

Erie Hollows will operate every Friday and Saturday in October, giving visitors multiple opportunities to attempt to break the curse.
The attraction also plans to provide updates throughout the season through its Facebook page, including information about food trucks, special discounts and themed events such as costume nights.

Will You Cure the Curse?
This October, Erie Hollows isn't simply inviting visitors to walk through the woods.
It's asking them to step into a forgotten town, confront its tortured inhabitants and discover what happened during a festival more than a century ago.
Dr. Thaddeus Crane is waiting.
The carnival is still running.
The Butcher still has work to do.
And the spirits of Erie Hollows aren't ready to leave.
The trail is more than half a mile long. The curse has lasted more than a century.
The only question left is whether you have the courage to enter.
The toll must be paid.
